Jamshedpur Bikers Complete 12 Jyotirlinga Pilgrimage on Bullet in 28 Days

Jamshedpur: When unwavering faith guides your path, even the gravest obstacles clear the way. Ashish Jha, a young rider from Rahargora, and his companion Vishnu Sharma returned to the city after travelling to all 12 sacred Jyotirlingas across India on a Royal Enfield Bullet in just 28 days.

Ashish shared that the duo clocked a staggering 12,225 kilometres during their spiritual odyssey. They kicked off their expedition from Jamshedpur on May 3, first paying obeisance at Baba Baidyanath Dham (Deoghar). From there, they rode to Kashi Vishwanath, Mahakaleshwar, Omkareshwar, Grishneshwar, Trimbakeshwar, and Bhimashankar.

Pushing further, the duo traversed Gujarat to visit Somnath and Nageshwar, before steering south to offer prayers at Mallikarjuna in Andhra Pradesh and Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu.

Narrow Escape Near Roorkee: Safety Gear Saves the Day

The journey, however, was not without its perils. While riding from Rameswaram toward Kedarnath, the duo met with a severe accident near Roorkee on a highway. The crash left Ashish with a hand injury and heavily damaged their motorcycle.

“Our safety jackets saved our lives,” Ashish recalled. “Because we wore proper riding gear, we escaped major injuries and averted a catastrophic accident.”

Demonstrating exceptional customer support, the local motorcycle service centre arranged an alternative Bullet for the riders so they wouldn’t have to abort their mission. Undeterred by the crash, the duo pressed on and successfully reached Baba Kedarnath on May 27 to complete their holy circuit.

Both Ashish and Vishnu expressed immense gratitude to the strangers they met along the way, noting that local residents across various states showered them with love, food, and hospitality throughout their month-long journey.
