Covid third wave preparation in Jamshedpur: DC asks its team to remain on alert mode

Jamshedpur, Aug 11: In view of a possible third wave of Covid, Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar gave important instructions to all the senior officers, deputy superintendent of police, incident commanders and police station in-charges regarding the necessary protective action to be taken. Kumar said that necessary guidelines have been given for prevention and rescue. They have been asked to comply with the instructions in their work areas.

He said that although at present the active rate of corona cases has come down but the infection has not been completely eradicated. Every day 4-5 infected persons are being identified. There is also a need to be alert mode in view of the possible transition of the third wave. The guidelines for unlock/lockdown issued by the Jharkhand government need to be implemented. He expressed concerns that the norms are not followed by the people in Haat-bazaar, shops, restaurants, hotels, religious places / places of worship, marriage programs, community halls, banquet halls and other public places, due to which there is a possibility of re-spreading of the infection. Being the month of Shrawan, monitoring is required in the temples and in the cultural programs organized.

All senior officers, all deputy superintendents of police, all incident commanders and in-charge of the concerned station will ensure compliance in the area from their level.
