Jamshedpur, August 5: On Monday, ADJ-2 Aabhas Verma’s court issued a show cause notice to the Birsanagar and Kadma police station in-charges for failing to comply with court orders. The notices demand that the police officers appear in person and provide an explanation for not presenting witnesses in two separate cases.
In the Birsanagar Zone No. 3B murder case, involving Aniket Tiwari alias Nanhe, key witnesses including Ganesh Tiwari, Pushpakant Pandey, and others have not appeared in court. An FIR was filed after Ganesh Tiwari reported that his son, Aniket, was murdered on September 1, 2021. Despite the court’s directive, the witnesses have not been presented.
Similarly, in a case of a murderous attack registered at Kadma police station, witnesses Avinash Upadhyay, Kunal Sao, and others have not testified. Avinash Upadhyay reported the attack on February 11, 2019, where he was assaulted by several individuals. The case remains unresolved due to the absence of witness testimony.
The court has taken a serious view of the non-compliance and demanded a reply from the concerned police officers.
