Congress and AIMIM supporters clash in Jamshedpur, Two injured

Jamshedpur, Nov 13: A violent clash erupted between Congress and AIMIM supporters at Bawangoda Madhya Vidyalaya, located on Old Purulia Road in Azadnagar police station area, during the first phase of Jharkhand Assembly Elections on Wednesday afternoon.

The altercation left two individuals injured, who were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. The conflict arose after both parties accused each other of indulging in bogus voting, escalating tensions at the polling booth.

As soon as the news broke, a police team along with security forces arrived at the scene. Jamshedpur SSP Kishore Kaushal, City SP Kumar Shivashish, and CISF personnel also reached the spot to assess the situation. The police successfully controlled the crowd, and the situation was eventually pacified. Both Congress and AIMIM lodged complaints, and an investigation is underway
