Ranchi: As winter tightens its grip on Jharkhand, the severity of the cold has escalated, causing disruptions in the daily lives of residents. The forecast indicates a potential cold wave in the western part of the state on December 20-21, raising concerns among authorities and residents alike.
Jharkhand’s weather pattern is expected to persist, with dry conditions and a likelihood of light cloud cover until December 22. The minimum temperature may experience a slight increase for a day or two post that date, offering a temporary respite. However, during this period, residents can anticipate a continuation of the cold weather, necessitating ongoing precautions.
Abhishek Anand, the in-charge of the weather center, emphasized that there won’t be a significant change in temperatures on December 19 and 20. A marginal drop in temperature, by one or two degrees, is anticipated on December 20-21, potentially extending the cold wave in the western part of the state. Residents are advised to exercise caution and take necessary measures to cope with the chilly conditions.
