Jamshedpur: The district administration has announced that it will publish a list of ‘Un-Mapped Electors’ at all polling stations across East Singhbhum district on May 23, 2026, as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll.
According to a press release from the District Public Relations Office, the administration is executing this exercise under the directives of the Chief Electoral Officer-cum-Secretary, Cabinet (Election) Department, Jharkhand, and the guidance of District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Ranjan.
Authorities will display the ‘Un-Mapped Electors’ list at polling stations across all six Assembly Constituencies of the district: Baharagora, Ghatshila, Potka, Jugsalai, Jamshedpur East, and Jamshedpur West.
Officials stated that the initiative aims to identify voters whose names have not yet been successfully mapped with the electoral roll prepared during the previous Special Intensive Revision in 2003. The administration advises such voters to visit their respective polling stations on May 23 to verify whether their names appear in the ‘Un-Mapped Electors’ list.
The verification facility will remain available until the close of office hours on Saturday. All Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) will directly oversee the publication process in their respective jurisdictions. Additionally, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will station themselves at the polling booths to help voters check their details and complete the required mapping process wherever necessary.
The district administration appeals to all eligible voters whose names may have missed the mapping from the earlier voter list to visit their designated polling stations, verify their entries, and coordinate with the concerned BLOs to ensure proper inclusion and updating of electoral records. Officials emphasized that the Special Intensive Revision process will strengthen the accuracy and transparency of the electoral roll ahead of future elections.
