Galudih: In a disturbing incident that unfolded in Putdu village of Galudih police station, a young man named Surendra Tarai was tied with a rope and subjected to physical assault by irate villagers on Tuesday. The accused was allegedly involved in an act of molestation, sparking outrage among the local community.
Surendra Tarai, employed as a laborer at the Binda brick kiln in Bedahatu village, has been accused of persistently engaging in inappropriate behavior while under the influence of alcohol. The incident reached a tipping point on Tuesday evening when, after consuming alcohol, Tarai reportedly misbehaved with women in the village.
Fueled by anger and concern for the safety of their community members, villagers took matters into their own hands. They swiftly apprehended Tarai, tied him with a rope, and administered a beating as a form of retribution for the alleged molestation. Reports indicate that the assault continued until the accused offered an apology to the villagers.
Subsequently, after Surendra Tarai expressed remorse and apologized, the villagers issued a warning and chose to release him.
