Kaveri Restaurant Owner Dies Under Suspicious Circumstances in Ranchi

Ranchi: Luv Bhatia, a prominent businessman associated with Ranchi’s well-known Kaveri Restaurant chain, died under suspicious circumstances on Thursday afternoon. His death triggered shock and grief across the city’s business and social circles.

Police officials are yet to confirm the exact cause of death. Sources stated that when Bhatia’s health suddenly deteriorated, his family or associates rushed him in critical condition to Orchid Hospital in the Lalpur police station area. However, doctors declared him dead during treatment. Following the incident, police arrived at the hospital, took custody of the body, and sent it to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) for a post-mortem examination.

The tragedy has sent shockwaves through Ranchi’s business fraternity. Several traders, hotel owners, and acquaintances expressed deep grief over the young entrepreneur’s sudden demise. While city residents trade rumours and speculate about the circumstances of his death, police officials stated that they are investigating the case and cannot make a conclusive statement at this stage.

Luv Bhatia was the son of noted hotel businessman Ashish Bhatia, whose family operates several prominent hospitality and food establishments in Ranchi. The family runs popular businesses including Punjab Sweets on Main Road, Hotel Capitol Hill, and multiple branches of Kaveri Restaurant at Church Complex, Circular Road, Harmu, and Kanke Road.

Reports indicate that Luv Bhatia managed the Circular Road branch of Kaveri Restaurant. Police officials are now awaiting the post-mortem report and further forensic findings to determine the exact circumstances leading to the death.
