Jamshedpur: A Sonari resident Santosh Mahato today alleged that the Dinbandhu Apartment being built in Kunjnagar locality of Kagalnagar, Sonari, was erected by flouting the Chhota Nagpur Tenancy (CNT) Act.
He said the builder, Abhay Nayak, was constructing the building at the land of a Kurmi owner. He said part of the land used in construction was government land.
He alleged that as per the information furnished under the Right to Information (RTI) by the district administration, the land was included in Tata lease and that its design had not been passed by the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee.
He said various builders were flouting government norms to build multi storied apartments in the city under the nose of the district administration.
Mahato said he will sit on fast unto death in case the district administration did not take action against the said builder.
