CM visits hospital to seek Naxalite attack victims

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today visited Apollo Hospital to see the victims of Shikaripara Naxalite attack incident and assured to help them in every possible manner. He said the state government will make sure that best possible treatment is provided to the police jawans and polling officials injured in the incident.

Soren said he had asked the authorities of Apollo Hospital and Rajendra Institute of Medical Science to take care of the victims. Some of the victims are also there in RIMS undergoing treatment.

The CM said he had come to the hospital to see the treatment facilities being made available to the explosion victims. He said no slackness will be allowed to creep in the treatment of the victims and their rehabilitation.

Naxalites blew up two vehicles in Shikaripara police station area of Dumka and killed eight persons including five police jawans and three polling officers returning from polling booth number 100 and 101 in Dumka on 24th April last. Many others were injured in the attack. The Naxalites opened fire on the victims after triggering the improvised explosion near a bridge.
