Rotary West organizes Youth Leadership Award function

Jamshedpur: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West organised Rotary Youth leadership Award function on Sunday at Narbheram Hansraj English School.

The president of Rotary West, Amitava Bakshi welcomed all participants, guests, Rotarians and spouses who were present on the occasion. Past district governor Vijay Mehta was the chief guest on the occasion. Kiran Mehta, Ranjit Ram, Mamta Ram, Bharat, Venkat and dignitaries from other Clubs were also present during the function.

Mehta wished the event all the success and emphasised on the importance of attending these kinds of meet. It was a great opportunity for students to learn how to develop leadership qualities, know personality traits amidst fun filled moments.

There were friendly competitions amongst children who took part in nukkad natak, folkdance, collage making, paper bag making, debate, English choir singing, essay writing, face painting, rhythmic yoga.

Around 130 participants from different schools and colleges took part along with their moderators ably supported by Rotarians and their spouses.

The schools whose Rotaract and Interact Clubs participated in the programme include Baridih High School, Kasidih High School, Kerala Samajam Model School, Motilal Nehru Public School, Narbheram Hansraj English School, Karim City College and RVS College of Engineering.

For the first time, along with Cherry Bhatia Memorial Debate trophy for Interactors, Dr Ghosh Memorial Trophy for debate for Rotaractors was introduced for Rotaract students. Both these are rolling trophies. The event was successful with active participation of Interactors, Rotaractors, Moderators, teachers and staff of Narbheram School, Rotarians and spouses.
