Govt sets up Task Force with CII
Jamshedpur : Amid the sluggish industrial scenario in the State the Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday promised that his Government is working on a plan to give tax sops to the industries to bring them back on
the tracks.
He said that steps are being taken to promote industry in the State and the Government too is concerned over the prevailing situation.
The Chief Minister, who inaugurated the fourday industry and consumer fair, Enterprise Jharkhand2014 at Gopal Maidan organised jointly by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII state unit) and MSME Government of India, was addressing the inaugural session.
The Chief Minister said that to support industries in the state CII and Government of Jharkhand has set a Joint
Task Force that will ensure promotion of industries. Re- leasing the vision of the task force, he said that there are 350 small and medium industries in the State and the Government wants to ensure that the issues concerning all the industries are addressed on a common platform.
He said that the Task Force will work to ensure favourable environment in the State. Soren said that his Government
will not allow the companies to shift to other states but will work to promote them to flourish here only.
�We are working on a strategy to promote the industry,� said Soren.
Admitting the mistakes committing by past governments both during erstwhile Bihar and Jharkhand regime, Soren
said that people of the region have not developed in proportion to the mineral resources extracted from there region.
He also appealed to the industries to change their strategy and incorporate positive initiatives in their investment plan.
Industry needs to make value addition to the raw minerals and absorb local people in job through skill development,
he stated.
The Chief Secretary RS Sharma also promised inclusive growth in the State with focus on promoting local talent.
In the beginning TV Narendran, managing director, Tata Steel, said that the promotion of small and medium industries is the need of the hour and Tata Steel will continue to lend its support in every way possible.
S K Behera, chairman, CII Jharkhand opened the session by emphasizing the impact of manufacturing sector and its impact on the economy.
CII said the industry body has been closely working with the state in promoting the skill development of the locals and will continue to do so ahead.
This year around 70 companies and more than 110 stalls have been put up at Gopal Maidan the venue for the fair.
The companies range from real state, automobile, food processing, light steel and others were wide range of
industrial products will be up for display.
In line with the theme there would be seminar, interaction with corporate and NGOs, seminar on environment and a meet on manufacturing.
16,000 acres land at Musaboni to meet land crunch: Dadel
Vandana Dadel, secretary, industry department, Jharkhand today said that the department has identified 16,000 acres of land at Musaboni to meet the land crunch in state.
The land will be used to set up new industries. Addressing the inaugural ceremony of Entreprise she said that land crunch in the industrial belt is a major concern and we have decided to focus on the crisis and hunt for land.
She said that they will work to ensure that the investors are given all the facilities hassle-free and under one roof so that the industrialists can move ahead with their projects.
with the implementation of the proposed new industrial policy the state have witness inclusive growth of the medium
and small enterprises (MSEs) alongside the heavy industries.
Throwing light on the highlights of the industrial policy she said thrust is on to promote small units and ancillaries under industrial estate concept of the new policy.
