Jamshedpur: Chief Minister Raghubar Das has granted financial assistance to Divya Singh, a class 9 student of Shiksha Niketan, Telco, after her parents failed to deposit her school fees. District BJP president Dinesh Kumar handed a cheque of Rs 25,000 to the girl at his residential office.
Kumar said the girl’s mother had contacted district BJP spokesperson Ankit Anand for help as she was unable to bear the expenses of her daughter’s education. A letter was soon written to the CM who granted assistance to the student.
“The state government is committed to the cause of the poor people. The CM is working for the welfare of the people with dedication. He has truly made the ‘Beti bachao, beti padhao’ campaign a grand success by helping many needy families and individuals,” said the BJP president.
