Jamshedpur, Jan 6: A heated altercation between two parties escalated into a physical fight in the Jamshedpur court premises on Monday, creating chaos. The incident involved three individuals from one side, including a woman and an elderly man, and two individuals from the other side.
According to witnesses, the clash began around 11:30 a.m. when both parties encountered each other shortly after entering the court premises. An argument erupted, leading to a scuffle during which the woman and the elderly man were reportedly thrown to the ground.
Police personnel deployed in the court premises intervened promptly, detaining the individuals involved. Both parties were later handed over to Sitaramdera police, where they lodged written complaints against each other.
Speaking about the incident, the police station in-charge stated, “We have received written statements from both parties, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact sequence of events and identify the culprits.”
Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with onlookers shocked at the public altercation. “It was unexpected and disturbing to see such an incident in a place meant for justice,” remarked a bystander.
The authorities have assured that appropriate action will be taken based on the investigation. Further details are awaited as the probe continues.
