Citizens reeling under inflation: Banna Gupta

Jamshedpur: Congress candidate from Jamshedpur West Banna Gupta Saturday said the citizens were a harassed lot as they were forced to struggle with inflation. He said the BJP-led government had failed to provide relief and basic civic amenities to the people. He said vegetables had disappeared from people�s platter due to inflation. Now people feel cheated by the BJP, he said, adding further, �Be it healthcare, education, clean drinking water, electricity supply and cleanliness, the BJP legislator failed to provide all civic amenities.

Gupta was addressing an election meeting in Kadma. He first performed worship at Sai Baba temple at Road No 6A in Ramnagar and thereafter participated in a padyatra which moved through various colonies of Ramnagar, Anil Sur Path, Tank Road, Olian, Govind Nagar and Bhatia Basti.

Gupta said the people of the city were misled in the name of ownership right for the residents of 86 slums. He said the voters had understood everything clearly and now they were ready for change. He also attended a padyatra which started at Jail Chowk, Sakchi, and visited various localities.
