Jamshedpur, July 1: The names proposed in the district Congress committee for strengthening the party was endorsed by state president Dr Ajoy Kumar.
Surendra Jha Bablu was made vice president of the district Congress committee while Ravi KP and Chandan Pandey were elevated to the post of senior general secretaries. Nine others namely Md Iftekhar, Amit Dubey, Sanjay Singh, Sushila Pandey, Firoze Alam, Sohail Khan, Manoj Bhagat, Kamal Rathore and Ajitesh Ujjain were made general secretaries.
Giving this information, district Congress president Vijay Khan said that resignations tendered by the party�s block presidents to the district committee after national president Rahul Gandhi and state president Dr Ajoy Kumar had offered to step down from their posts were rejected. The committee has instead advised them to work harder at all block levels to strengthen the party.
