Jamshedpur, Oct 23 : In a bid to ensure smooth, safe, and comfortable journeys for passengers during the festive season, the Chakradharpur Railway Division has rolled out several special initiatives.

These include the operation of special trains, round-the-clock crowd management through a 24×7 war room, CCTV surveillance at all major stations, and enhanced passenger facilities such as the newly developed holding area at Tatanagar station.

Railway officials said that passenger convenience remains the division’s top priority this festive season.

Indian Railways has introduced over 12,000 special trains across the country this year — a significant increase from 7,724 last year — to handle the surge in festive travel demand.

Within the Chakradharpur Division, special trains such as the 08183/08184 Tata–Buxar–Tata Weekly Diwali/Chhath Special (Originating Train) and 12 pairs of festival specials for Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath are being operated to ease passenger rush and improve connectivity at key stations across the division.

Officials affirmed that the Chakradharpur Division is fully committed to ensuring passenger safety, comfort, and a hassle-free travel experience during the festive rush.
