Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, Oct 23: In a major pre-festive relief measure, the Jharkhand government has announced that beneficiaries of the Chief Minister’s Maiya Samman Yojana will receive two instalments together ahead of Chhath.

Women who missed the 14th instalment will now get both the 14th and 15th instalments credited this month—amounting to ₹5,000 in total.

Officials stated that this step aims to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left behind.

For those who already received the 14th instalment, the regular 15th instalment of ₹2,500 is being transferred as per schedule.

15th Instalment Released in 12 Districts

The government has already credited the 15th instalment in 12 districts—Ranchi, Dhanbad, Deoghar, Bokaro, Jamshedpur ( East Singhbhum ), Lohardaga, Gumla, Jamtara, Simdega, Chatra, Pakur, and Garhwa.

These districts were prioritized as beneficiary verification and documentation had been completed earlier.

The remaining districts are set to receive payments between October 20 and 25, ensuring all eligible women receive their dues before the festive period.

The initiative reflects the state government’s commitment to women’s financial empowerment, especially during the festive season when economic support carries additional significance.
