Chaibasa, Sep 3: A delegation of Chaibasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries met Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Renuka Singh at Chaibasa Circuit House on Saturday and handed her a five-point petition to demand more amenities for rail passengers of Singhbhum, Kyonjhar and Jajpur.
Leading the delegation, Chamber president Madhusudan Agrawal said Chakradharpur railway division was the highest revenue earning rail divisions of India. But still Chakradharpur remains neglected in terms of amenities for rail passengers, he said.
Chamber members demanded running of various passenger trains via Jajpur-Kyonjhar-Banspani-Chaibasa route at least three days a week. They also demanded running of Jan Shatabdi Express and several other Express trains between Barbil and Howrah and also sought increased frequency of the trains.
The Chamber delegation included Anup Kumar Sultania, Shibu Lal Agrawal, Vikas Goel, Sanjay Choubey, Aditya Vikram Sarda, Durgesh Khatri, Nitin Agrawal and Pratap Katiyar.
