Case filed against Jamshedpur East candidates Dr. Ajoy Kumar and Shiv Shankar Singh for poll code violation

Jamshedpur, Nov 13: A case has been registered against Congress candidate Dr. Ajoy Kumar and independent candidate Shiv Shankar Singh for violating the Election Code of Conduct in Jamshedpur East. The two candidates are accused of distributing voter slips bearing their names, photos, and election symbols in booths at Navodaya Adivasi Primary School during the ongoing election. The slip distribution took place at booths 38, 40, 41, and 42, where election officials seized a large number of slips. An FIR has been lodged at Sidgora Police Station under the Representation of the People Act, 1951. District Election Officer’s instructions led to the case registration, and further investigations are underway to determine the extent of the violation.
