Jamshedpur: Unknown burglars stole cash and gold ornaments worth over Rs 2 lakh from a house at Dalma-based Colony under Ulidihpolice station area in Mango on Monday hours.
The house owner Shiv Prasad Shao had gone to his brother’s house along with his family at Sidhgora on Sunday evening. On returning home today, he found the front door lock missing and the steel almirah broken. The criminals took away ornaments worth over Rs 2 lakh and Rs 15,000 from the locker of the almirah.
After the incident, the police had pressed a sniffer dog into service on getting a verbal omplaint lodged by Shao. Shao owns a automobile spare-parts shop at Bhilaipahadi along the NH-33.
The victim said that he left his house for a day last evening, and when he returned home at 10 am today, he discovered the burglary. ” We are in state of shock. I am upset as the criminals have taken away my wife’s ornaments. The police said that the burglars used iron-cutter to commit the crime.
