Jamshedpur, June 28: The Indian Red Cross Society, East Singhbhum, organized a blood donation camp on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Late K.K. Singh, continuing the tradition upheld every year. A total of 112 blood donors selflessly dedicated themselves to serving humanity by donating blood.
The event witnessed the presence of notable personalities including former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Raghuvar Das, MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, social worker Harivallabh Singh RC, A.J. Srivastava, Asif Mehmood, Urmila Singh, Rabindra Nath Choubey, Angad Tiwari, Rajkishore Singh, Purabi Ghosh, and respected journalists Sanjay Mishra and Udit Agarwal.
Concluding the program, Honorary Secretary of the Red Cross Society, East Singhbhum, Vijay Kumar Singh, along with Chandramohan Singh and Vikas Singh, planted a Rudraksha sapling in the Red Cross building as a tribute to Late K.K. Singh’s memory.
Addressing the gathering, chief guest Raghubar Das emphasized that society forms the foundation of the country, and true progress can only be achieved through collective efforts. While the soldiers safeguard the nation’s borders, social-minded individuals are necessary for the security and well-being of society. He acknowledged the remarkable contributions made by Late K.K. Singh, whose legacy was being honored, and praised the blood donors for their commitment to societal welfare.
MP Bidyut Baran Mahato recalled K.K. Singh’s widespread impact, highlighting his presence in both urban and rural areas. He commended Singh’s dedication to cooperative efforts for the betterment of society, whether it was supporting a daughter’s wedding, providing medicine for the sick, constructing temples, or facilitating community development. Mahato also acknowledged Singh’s son, who is carrying forward his father’s social work. The program was conducted by Vijay Kumar Singh. During the event, Raghubar Das honored blood donor Chandrashekhar Singh, who had donated blood for the 50th time. Prabhunath Singh, in charge of Red Cross blood component donation, received recognition for raising awareness about blood donation.
