Jamshedpur, Jan 29: The BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar took a strong stand on Wednesday against the deteriorating civic amenities in the Mango area, submitting a memorandum to the Deputy Municipal Commissioner at the Mango Municipal Corporation office. The party expressed outrage over the neglect of essential services and demanded immediate action.
The memorandum raised concerns about the worsening cleanliness issues, with piles of garbage accumulating in streets, roads and drains. BJP workers highlighted the risk of infectious diseases due to this unsanitary situation, which has left local citizens in distress. The memorandum called for a permanent solution to the garbage disposal issue and urged the regularization of the cleaning system.

Moreover, the BJP flagged the severe water shortage affecting Mango’s population of over four lakh. Residents face irregular water supply and broken hand pumps, leaving them without clean drinking water. The party urged the Municipal Corporation to ensure a steady water supply, especially with the summer season approaching.
BJP also criticized the malfunctioning streetlights, which, according to the party, have led to increased criminal activities, including drug abuse. In light of this, the party demanded that the faulty streetlights be repaired promptly to ensure a safer environment for the residents.
District President Sudhanshu Ojha stated, “Mango has become worse than hell under the Municipal Corporation’s neglect. If these issues are not addressed soon, BJP will launch a large-scale movement to demand accountability.” The party made it clear that the public’s problems must be addressed before any discussions on tax hikes can take place.
