Jamshedpur, Feb 14: Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP leaders Monday criticized the police for failing to create a crime-free environment in the city. Citing the incident of loot of Rs 32 lakh from the staff of Chhaganlal Dayaljee Sons in broad daylight at Bistupur as proof of inefficacy of policing, they said the people were feeling unsafe after the incident.
State BJP spokesperson Kunal Sarangi, in a statement issued today, said the major loot incident had exposed the deplorable state of law and order in the city. He said the criminals were now committing crime with audacity. Such crimes committed in the daytime speak volumes of the grim ground situation, he said.
Former district BJP president Dinesh Kumar said the moral of criminals of the city was on a high. He said the law and order machinery was on a ventilator. He said the police were only interested in hoarding revenue in the name of helmet and seat belt checking.
