Jamshedpur, Mar 19:. A delegation of Bharatiya Janata Morcha led by Mukul Mishra today submitted a memorandum to East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Suraj Kumar on problems in water supply from the Mango drinking water supply project and demanded an early solution to the problem.
They claimed that residents are facing water crisis due to the lackadaisical approach of the drinking water and sanitation department officials even before the advent of the summer season and situation will become more grave during summer if immediate steps are not taken to address the problem and ensure regular drinking water supply in Mango area. They also urged the deputy commissioner to take up the issue directly with the Mango drinking water supply authorities for timely and regular supply of water.
The delegation also demanded from the deputy commissioner to remove encroachments along the New Purulia Road which is the route used for going to Pardih as it causes traffic snarls and problem in vehicle movement. The delegation said that from time to time anti-encroachment activities are undertaken in Dimna Road and near Mango roundabout and similarly anti-encroachment activities should also be carried out along New Purulia Road too.
