Jamshedpur MP Bidyut meets Railway board chairman

Jamshedpur, Mar 19: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato on Friday met railway board chairman Sunit Sharma and apprised him about the discussion he had with Union railway minister  Piyush Goyal on starting of railway in his constituency. 

The MP requested for starting of direct train facilities between Tatanagar and Buxar in Bihar to facilitate travel of large number of people from Bihar and UP from Tatanagar and suggested that any of the trains like Tata-Danapur, Durg-Rajendranagar, Bilaspur-Patna weekly train can be extended till Buxar and also apprised about assurance given by the railway minister to the demands. The railway chairman then asked the south eastern railway general manager and general manager of East Central Railway to submit a report on the possibility of starting a train between Tatanagar and Buxar in Bihar. 

Other demands which were raised during the meeting included direct train services between Tatanagar  to Jainagar (Karnataka), Bangalore resumption of train services between Tatanagar and Bhagalpur and early completion of rail line between Chandil-Patamda and Bandwan, Jhargram. Intercity train between Tatanagar to Bhubaneswar, , super fast train facility between Tatanagar and Goa and increasing frequency of Tata-Yeshwantpur train services to four days a week.  The MP also requested that trains which were stopped due to Covid 19 pandemic should be resumed from Tatanagar
The chairman assured of proper action into each of the demands.
