Jamshedpur: Bhupinder Singh, a 31-year-old resident of Sai Complex, Baliguma, has brought laurels to the city and the Sikh community by securing the 56th rank in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) examination. His success in the second attempt has earned him the coveted post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP).
In recognition of his achievement, the Central Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC) honoured Bhupinder Singh at a special programme held at the CGPC office in Sakchi. He was presented with a saropa and sweets by CGPC President Sardar Bhagwan Singh and other dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Bhagwan Singh said, “At a time when many Sikh youths are migrating abroad in search of better opportunities, Bhupinder’s success is a beacon of inspiration. Sikh youth should come forward and serve their country and community through civil services.”
Gurcharan Singh Billa, CGPC General Secretary, added, “Bhupinder becoming a DySP at the age of 31 is a moment of pride for all of us.”
Despite losing both parents at a young age, Bhupinder persevered, drawing strength from the support of his elder brother, Inderjit Singh, who raised and guided him through difficult times.
The felicitation ceremony was attended by several Sikh leaders and community members including CGPC Chairman Sardar Shailendra Singh, Daljit Singh Gumtala, Surjit Singh, Surinder Singh Chhinda, Sukhdev Singh Bittu, Sarabjit Singh Grewal, Harvinder Singh Mantu, Sikh Youth Sabha President Sardar Amrik Singh, Gurusharan Singh, Sukhwant Singh Sukhu, and Mango Youth Sabha President Jagdeep Singh Goldy.
