Jamshedpur, March 12: Patamada BDO Tuesday stopped the wedding ceremony of a minor girl in Jhunjhka village of Jorsa panchayat. A team of local welfare officer visited the village and probed the matter. It was found that the girl is below 18 years of age and that she is just a Matriculate. The parents of the girl were warned against marrying her off under the age of majority. The BDO assured to get the girl admitted at Kasturba school to pursue her studies further. Members of Childline were also present on this occasion along with many villagers.
