Jamshedpur, March 12: East Singhbhum district administration has put an embargo on giving approval to any new development project in view of imposition of Model Code of Conduct ahead of Lok Sabha elections.
In a letter issued to various departments, the district planning officer has said that new projects will not get approval under any fund whatsoever.
Those projects which have not started yet will be kept on hold till the elections are over, he said.
The DPO further said that advance payments will not be made to any contractor for the implementation of any project. He said the progress report of projects approved so far has been sought from various government departments.
