Basements converted into parking by JNAC in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 12: The crackdown on illegal constructions by the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) persisted, with further actions taken on Saturday. On the third consecutive day of operations, the JNAC authorities demolished shops constructed in the basements of Birenu Trade Center in the SNP Area, Holding No. 67 of Sakchi, repurposing the space into parking facilities. Similarly, the basement of Shatabdi Tower near the Sakchi roundabout was also targeted, with walls of unauthorized shops torn down to create additional parking spaces.

Krishna Kumar, Dy. Municipal Commissioner, JNAC, affirmed the commitment to ongoing enforcement against illegal construction activities. A survey team is diligently monitoring new construction projects to identify any violations of approved building plans, ensuring swift action against offenders. The next court hearing on this matter is scheduled for May 16, underscoring the determination to uphold regulations and maintain urban order.
