Jamshedpur, January 23: The progress of construction of Mango flyover was reviewed by health minister and Jamshedpur West MLA Banna Gupta with the senior officers of road construction department (RCD) and Tata Steel in presence of district administration.
There was a detailed discussion about the design, in which all the parties agreed in principle, but regarding the shortcomings found on some points, it was decided that the team of Tata Steel, district administration and RCD would jointly conduct the survey in 15 days. Based on that report, if needed, partial changes will be made in the design, if not needed, it will be forwarded for further action plan.
During the meeting, it was discussed that the work of soil testing will be completed at some new places for the construction of flyovers, as well as the alternative arrangement of two lane service, four lane service at various places was also discussed in detail.
Banna Gupta informed media that it takes some time to get on the ground for any major work, but government is constantly reviewing to overcome every obstacle.
“We are confident that the work of flyover construction will start within three months,” said Gupta.
