Jamshedpur, Aug 16: At the stroke of 9.05 am on Monday, Health Minister Banna Gupta hoisted the National Flag to mark the 76th Independence Day at Gopal Maidan here.
While congratulating and wishing all the residents of the district and the people of the state on Independence Day, Banna Gupta said: “ 15 August is a very important day for India’s democracy and every Indian. Freedom was the result of the sacrifice of our heroes. I salute all the brave warriors. We have read that the first war of independence took place as Sepoy Mutiny in 1857 but its story was originally written by the heroes of Jharkhand under the leadership of Baba Tilka Manjhi in the year 1772. Hundreds of agitations took place in which the heroes of Jharkhand sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country.
Gupta further said that the State Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren is committed to speed up development works. Steps are being taken in the interest of the people of the state with firmness and firmness. Government of the people, for the people, by the people is being established. We are working towards the all-round development of the people of the state without any discrimination of caste and religion. During the Corona period, the people of the administration and administration worked firmly.
The Hon’ble Minister praised the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner, specifically mentioning the measures taken by the administration in extinguishing the fire in a tire godown at Mango. He said that the police administration is also doing good work in the direction of crime control in the district.
A total of 117 officers and personnel who excelled in law and order, fire in tyre godown at Mango, Panchayat elections, health and office work were given citations.
Out of the total eight platoons involved in the Independence Day celebrations, the first-NCC boy, second- NCC girl and the third-ranked Platoon Commander of District Police Force (Female) were honored with shields. Apart from this, the RAF, District Police Force (Men), ZAP-6, Home Guard, Scouts and Guides NCC and Commander of Band Party were also given shields involved in the parade. Sergeant Major, Second in Command, who was leading the parade, was also honored with a shield.
On this occasion Deputy Commissioner cum District Magistrate Vijaya Jadhav, Senior Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar, City Superintendent of Police K Vijay Shankar, Rural Superintendent of Police Mukesh Lunayat, Deputy Development Commissioner Pradeep Prasad, SDM Dhalbhum Sandeep Kumar Meena, ADM Law and Order Nandkishore Lal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Sinha, Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal, DCLR Ravindra Gagrai, District Transport Officer Dinesh Ranjan, District Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar along with other officials of District Administration and Police Administration were present.
