Jamshedpur, Sep 8: State Health Minister Banna Gupta, who is also the MLA for Jamshedpur West, has accused fellow MLA Saryu Roy of theft and misuse of government documents. During a press conference at his office in Kadma, Gupta claimed that Roy had previously been involved in stealing government documents and using them for political purposes. He alleged that Roy is now involved in stealing confidential documents from his own department and making politically motivated statements.

Gupta stated that Roy’s actions are legally wrong and confirmed that an FIR will be lodged against him once again. He criticized Roy for allegedly spying on the department and breaching confidentiality. Gupta also revealed that Roy had claimed in a newspaper statement that the Health Minister had instructed his secretary to file an FIR against him concerning the publication of ‘Aahaar’ magazine, which the secretary supposedly declined, seeking legal advice instead. Roy’s statement that multiple FIRs had been lodged previously in the same case was also questioned by Gupta, who demanded clarification on where and how many times these FIRs were filed.

Gupta further accused Roy of spreading misinformation to cover up his own alleged corruption. He also highlighted Roy’s familial connections with Manoj Singh, who recently lodged a complaint in Doranda police station, Ranchi. Gupta concluded by challenging Roy, asserting that he will respond to Roy’s accusations and expose the truth.
