Attempted murder: Criminal Sukumar Das attacked and seriously injured

Jamshedpur: Sukumar Das, a resident of Majhi Tola, faced a fatal attack in Saldih Basti under the Adityapur police station in Seraikela-Kharsawan district.

The assailants initially assaulted Sukumar Das with the intent to kill, later crushing his head with a stone and tossing him into a drain. In critical condition, Sukumar was admitted to TMH by his family members in the evening. The incident occurred late on Monday evening when Sukumar was surrounded on the road and subjected to a severe beating. Subsequently, his head was crushed with a stone, and he was left half-dead in the drain.

The police have initiated an investigation into the matter. Notably, Sukumar Das is known for his involvement in the murder of sand trader Sujoy Nandi in December 2020, along with several other cases registered against him in Adityapur and Gamharia police stations, including violations of the Arms Act.
