No discrimination in govt welfare schemes: Banna Gupta

Jamshedpur, Nov 15: Jharkhand government is running many welfare schemes in the larger interest of the people of the state. There is no discrimination in the implementation of these schemes. This was observed on Tuesday by the state Health Minister Banna Gupta during the statehood day function organized at Town Hall, Sidhgora.

Assets worth over Rs 50 lakh were distributed among the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes being run by the state government at a district level prcńogramme organized at Town Hall to mark the Foundation Day of Jharkhand.

Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Gupta said schemes like the Sarvjan Pension Yojana were meant for the benefit of all the citizens irrespective of their caste, creed or class. Beneficiaries are also being linked to Mukhyamantri Rojgar Srijan Yojana and Savitri Bai Phule Samriddhi Yojana among other schemes, he said.

Gupta said youths are at the focal point of all welfare schemes being run in the state. He further said that the state government was putting Jharkhand on the fast track of development through projects suh as the ones related to the renovation of MGMCH and construction of flyover in the city.

The beneficiaries were provided job cards, loans and benefits of PM Swanidhi and other schemes including Phulo Jhano Ashirwad Yojana, Credit Linkage and Mudra Loan. Blankets were also distributed among them by the social security department.

Many dignitaries were present during the programme. They included senior district administration officials including DFO Mamata Priyadarshi, ADM Law and Order Nand Kishore Lal, ADC Saurabh Sinha and DTO Dinesh Ranjan.

5.5 lakh applications received in East Singhbhum: DC

Jamshedpur, Nov 15: East Singhbhum district received around 5.5 lakh applications in the two phases of Apki Yojana Apki Sarkar Apke Dwar, the ambitious doorstep delivery and mass outreach programme of the state government. This was informed on Tuesday by Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav.

The DC said the purpose of the programme was to reach out to the people and provide them the benefits of various welfare schemes being run by the state government. She said an intensive publicity drive was launched to spread mass awareness among the people. Several panchayat level camps were organized to inform people about the schemes and their benefits in their own mother tongue. As a result, East Singhbhum stood out as a district having received maximum number of applications. The district reached out to maximum people, she said.

The DC said a goal of disposing 95 per cent of applications within a month had been set b the district administration. She said girls have been linked to Savitri Bai Phule Samriddhi Yojana in order to make them independent in the field of education. An intensive campaign was run in all residential schools, other schools and colleges, she said.

According to the DC, unemployed people were being linked to Mukhyamantri Rojgar Srijan Yojana in order to bring them to the mainstream of society.
