Gamharia, Aug 18: A tragic road accident claimed the life of Dinesh Kumar Mahato, an IT department employee of Arka Jain University, on Monday. The mishap occurred on the Kandra-Chowka road near Kandra police station when his bike went out of control. Witnesses said Mahato was on his way to the university from Chowka when his motorcycle hit a woman crossing the road. He lost balance and fell, sustaining severe head injuries.
Local residents and Kandra police rushed him to a hospital, but he succumbed during treatment. A police officer confirmed, “The victim was identified through his Arka Jain University ID card (No. 496) found at the site.” Mahato was a resident of Murugdih village in Nimdih.
University staff expressed shock at the incident, remembering him as a dedicated employee in the IT department.
