Jamshedpur: Jugsalai Nagar Parishad launched plastic-free campaign across Jugsalai here on Saturday. The campaign was carried out from Tata Pigment gate to Kunwar Singh Chowk, Jugsalai railway level crossing and D Costa Road. Jugsalai Nagar Parishad officials appealed to citizens to not use banned single use plastic and also asked them to avoid throwing garbage in the opne. They said those found urinating or throwing garbage in the open would be prosecuted. A sum of Rs 1600 was collected in fine from nine municipal offenders, sources said.
