Jamshedpur: Saturday’s match between Ad Agency XI and Media XI played at Bistupur Armory Ground was won by Ad Agency that beat Media XI by 10 runs. The Media Cup cricket tournament has been organized by Press Club of Jamshedpur.
Ad Agency skipper Abhijit won the toss and elected to bat and scored 53 runs at for the loss of two wickets in the allotted 10 overs. Abhijit scored 9 runs, Vikas 5 while Sumit Rajhans contributed an unbeaten 13 runs to his team’s kitty. Md Rashid scored a brisk unbeaten 11 runs with two boiundaries. For the Media XI, Rajesh and Srinivas shared one wicket each.
However, The Media XI were ion all sorts of trouble and ended up scoring 43 Due to Vakil Uddin’s lethal bowling and Srinivas’ excellent keeping, ‘Ad Agency XI’ defeated ‘Media XI’ by 10 runs in a match of Media Cup cricket tournament being played under the aegis of Press Club of Jamshedpur.
In today’s match played at Bistupur Armory Ground, Ad Agency XI captain Abhijeet won the toss and decided to bat first. Ed Agency XI scored 53 runs for 2 wickets in 10 overs. In which Abhijeet contributed 9 runs, Vikas 5 runs and Sumit Rajhans contributed the most unbeaten 13 runs and Mohammad Rashid 11 not out with the help of 2 fours. Media XI’s Rajesh and Srinivas took 1-1 wickets.
In the second innings, Media XI, chasing the target of 54 runs, managed to score only 43 runs for 7 wickets and lost the match by 10 runs. None of the batsmen of the opposition team could stand in front of Ad Agency XI’s bowler Vakil Uddin’s deadly bowling and Abhijeet’s accurate bowling. Pramod scored 9 runs, Rajesh scored 11 runs and Priyaranjan scored 8 runs. Ad Agency XI’s Vakil Uddin took 3/15 wickets, Abhijeet 2/11 wickets and Dharamveer took one wicket and Srinivas took 5 catches while performing excellent keeping.
