Amity University will begin session from 2016-17: CM

Ranchi, Jan. 20: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said on Wednesday that his government will open schools with sports facilities for the tribal children where they will be trained in hockey, archery, football and cricket.

Funds for sports will be made available in other schools also. Moreover, the government has started skill centres to foster skills in getting them employed. Das said it while addressing the students in the convocation ceremony of Ranchi University.

The CM said that the govt. is serious about promoting higher education and for this purpose; the government has invited 3-4 universities. Amity University will start its session from 2016-17. Apart from it, the President has laid online foundation stone of technical university on January 9.

According to Das, the government universities can impart quality education like the private universities. Laying stress on the promotion of research work in the state, he said that there is no alternative to education in a knowledge based society.
