Jamshedpur: In an outstanding performance, city police have succeeded in tightening the noose around a majority of members of the Akhilesh Singh gang.
Save for Santosh Pandey, almost all the gang members have been caught by police in a series of raids in and outside the city so far. Police have made a list of 66 notorious members of the gang, out of whom 40 are directly involved in crimes committed by the gang, sources said.
According to sources, the gang members arrested so far include Sudhir Dubey, Kanhaiyya singh, Amlesh Singh, Lallu Singh, Jasbir Singh, Sonu Singh, Vinod Singh, Hareram Singh and Harish. Harish was arrested from Patna only a couple of days back.
The twin masterminds of the gang, Vikram Sharma and Akhilesh Singh have been arrested earlier from Dehradun and Noida respectively. Amlesh Singh is the elder brother of Akhilesh Singh.
