Rising mercury: Railway planning cool respite for passengers

Jamshedpur: South Eastern Railway authorities have started preparations to deal with water crisis in the upcoming summer season. The senior divisional commercial manager (DCM) of Chakradharpur has asked the commercial department officials to inspect facilities for passengers at the platforms, waiting rooms, dormitory and retiring rooms. The officials have inspected functioning of fans and water taps in different parts of the railway station.
Sources said the Railway staff have been asked to ensure that the passengers get cold drinking water from all five water vending machines, restaurants and canteens.
