Jamshedpur, Dec 17: A book written by Principal of ADLS Sunshine School was launched on Wednesday. A book of 5 series meant for the students of Std 1 to 5 was launched on Wednesday by Manmohan Singh, DGM Town Electrical, Jusco in the presence of Pranay Sinha, GM,(EPC), Jusco, Sharat Chandra Kumar, Chief, Environment Project, Tata Steel ; Mrs Nandini Shukla, Convener ICSE schools of zone B. It was conceptualized, written and edited by the Principal Mrs Indrani Singh.
The book titled �Get ahead with A BETTER WORLD�, on life skills and modern environment, is based on issues related to Societal Responsibilities( life skills and moral values), integrated with Environment concern in a broad sense and safety measures, the generation of today needs to be sensitized.
The main focus of the lessons in the book is not only to enable students to learn about the topics related to issues mentioned above but also practice through innovative activities involving students, parents and peer, framed in the lessons .
These activities will have a dual objective of promoting awareness in the society through children, who are not only the agents of change but also contribute towards building a better world. Hence the objective justifies the title of the book.
The principal thanked the few staff who helped her in the making of the book . It is hoped that students, parents and teachers who go through this book will be prepared to handle situations arising from the issues covered in these books and make all effort in implementing the same and turn the world into a better world. The book release was a success.
