Jamshedpur : Jamshedpur Carnival will provide city denizens first time experience. From jugglers, vintage cars, to band performances– Jamshedpur Carnival, the three-day festivity in town is all set to celebrate the joy of the city.
Jusco is taking care of all the infrastructure at the Jamshedpur Carnival that starts Dec 19 and concludes on Dec 21.
Jusco MD Ashish Mathur said overwhelmed with the response last year, the company decided to organise the event this year too but on a grand scale. The parade that is expected to involve about 2000 people on the inauguration from the J.N. Tata statue at Jubilee Park. There will be vintage cars, floats with live cartoon characters for children, a live Calcutta based band — Oriental Express and an army band from Hazaribagh.
There will be a live performance by the Oriental Express after the parade reaches the venue at Gopal maidan. Also there will be dance competition by social organisation and by Tanushree Shankar and group on fusion dance.
Jusco has also taken safety measures with 100 security guards, an electrical audit and a safety audit before the programme begins. There will be ambulance, a fire brigade and a team of doctors too.
Leading classical dancer Tanusree Shankar will also perform during the carnival. Famous dancer Astad Deboo will conduct dance workshop during the carnival.
Singh said the Jamshedpur Hotelier Associations would organize Master Chef Competition for women, besides offering exquisite variety of Indian and Continental food.
�We want to provide a new identity to the city and boost the tourism hospitality sector. In compare to last year the event this year would be grand in every terms,� said Ronald D�costa, a city-based hotelier. He said that during the carnival the hotels of the city will serve the best delicacies for the visitors.
Prabhakar Singh, president, Jamshedpur Hoteliers� Association, said that through the carnival the hotels also plan to spread the taste of Jamshedpur. Even people visiting the city can enjoy it.
A food festival will also be a part of the carnival and delicacies of different states would be served for the people.
