Accident on Ranchi-Tata highway, driver and cleaner killed

Ranchi: An accident occurred at Tikar Mor in the Tamar police station area along the Ranchi-Tata highway, resulting in the deaths of a trailer driver and his cleaner. The incident happened when a trailer, traveling from Tata to Ranchi, collided with a stationary truck. The impact of the collision was so severe that the front part of the trailer was completely destroyed, and both the driver and the cleaner, who were from Rajasthan, died on the spot.

Witnesses to the accident reported that the truck was stationary in the middle of the highway when the trailer hit it from behind at high speed. The collision caused both the driver and the cleaner to become trapped in the wreckage of the trailer. Emergency services, including a crane, were required to remove the trailer and recover the bodies.

Tamar police promptly arrived at the scene, recovered the bodies, and sent them to RIMS for postmortem. This incident highlights the dangers of accidents on busy highways, particularly when vehicles are left unattended in the middle of the road. The highway was briefly reduced to a single lane, but traffic was restored smoothly afterward.
