Ranchi: BJP State President Babulal Marandi has raised concerns over the Maiya Samman Yojana, a scheme intended to provide financial aid to women in Jharkhand. Marandi reported that, despite over 40 women filling out forms for the scheme in a village under the third block of Giridih district, only 15 of them have received the benefits. The remaining 25 women are still awaiting payment, despite having followed all the required procedures.

Marandi criticized the lack of transparency in the selection process and accused the Hemant Soren-led government of corruption. He stated, “Many women who rightfully applied are being deprived of the benefits due to irregularities in the scheme. It is disheartening that such an initiative meant to empower women is not being implemented efficiently.”

He further urged Chief Minister Hemant Soren to ensure that all eligible women receive their dues and the four pending instalments of the Maiya Samman Yojana are disbursed promptly. His appeal underscores the importance of transparency and fairness in government schemes aimed at uplifting marginalized communities.
