Absconding dacoity accused Arman Bachcha arrested

Jamshedpur: City police arrested an absconding criminal, identified as Arman Bachcha, a resident of Azadnagar, Mango, from his house on Tuesday. They conducted a raid at the house on the basis of a tip-off about the accused being present there.

Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Amol Venukant Homkar said a special police team raided the house of Arman Bachcha at Road Number 8, Cross Number 2, in Azadnagar. The accused was found in the house as apprehended. He and his associates were booked for planning to loot some trader in Kadma police station area on 28th June last at Jairam Manjhi ground in Azadnagar police station area.

Cops had earlier arrested three associates of Arman Bachcha. The three, identified as Mohammad Arif Rahman, Sarfaraz Alam alias Babu and Faraz Khan, were arrested with arms. An FIR was lodged against the three and their unidentified associates under Arms Act.

A search was launched to net Bachcha by a team of city police stations.

The SSP said the district police was searching for the accused for the last several days. Bachcha was booked in dacolity, robbery and other major crimes in West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan.

Cops are conducting raids to arrest one more associate of the accused persons who had escaped from the scene of arresting earlier.
