Ranchi, March 24: Preparations have been completed from the police headquarters level regarding security arrangements during Holi in Jharkhand. For security, about eight thousand additional forces have been deployed by the Police Headquarters in all the districts of the state.
Before Holi, SP of all the districts have been alerted for security arrangements. Information about any serious incident has been asked to be given to the police headquarters control room.
Special security arrangements have been made in these five districts – Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Hazaribagh, Giridih and Lohardaga, considering the sensitivity there. One company of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has been deployed in these five districts.
One company of RAP each has been deployed in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Giridih and Hazaribagh. Apart from this, tear gas squads have been deployed in Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Hazaribagh.
At the same time, traffic police started a campaign against autos, e-rickshaws and pushcarts illegally installed at intersections from Zakir Hussain Park to New Market Chowk under Gonda police station and from Argora Chowk to Ashok Nagar in Jagannathpur police station area. The campaign was conducted from Sujata Chowk to Firayalal Chowk in Chutiya police station area and from Rims Chowk to Karam Toli Chowk in Lalpur police station area.
Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha has asked the officials and police personnel who have been deputed should discharge their responsibilities properly. He said that often a situation of tension arises due to rumours. Therefore, resolve the rumors and take action as per rules.
Apart from this, all the liquor shops in the district were asked to remain closed on the day of Holi. The Assistant Excise Commissioner was instructed to conduct raids against those selling illegal liquor. The civil surgeon was asked to improve the medical system.
Apart from this, instructions were given to keep two fire fighting vehicles at Piska Mod, Morhabadi Ground, Doranda Police Station, Akra Masjid, Kanke Chowk, Bundu and District Control Room.
Ranchi SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha held a meeting with the Central Peace Committee on Saturday regarding Holi.
