Jamshedpur, Feb 8: The 77th Dharma Saastha Preeti Celebrations commenced today at Sri Dharma Sastha Temple, Kharkhai Link, Bistupur, with great devotion and enthusiasm.
The day began with a Maha Ganapathi Havan, followed by the installation of 16 kalash by visiting Ved Pandits. A Mahanyasa Purvaka Ekadasha Rudra Poornabhishek was performed for Sri Dharma Saastha, Sri Maha Ganapathi and Sri Karthik under the leadership of Sri P. N. Sankaran, Chairman of the Temple and the guidance of Sri Vijay Bhanu, Chief Priest. Thousands of devotees gathered to witness the Maha Arati, after which prasad was distributed by temple committee members.
In the evening, a grand Rathotsav procession was taken out across Bistupur, with the idols of Sri Maha Ganapathi, Sri Karthik and Sri Dharma Saastha, drawing thousands of participants. Post-procession, another Maha Arati was performed, followed by prasad distribution.
Adding to the spiritual atmosphere, members of Acharya Bhakta Sabha, a local South Indian bhajan group, rendered devotional bhajans in the afternoon. The celebrations will continue tomorrow with more religious rituals and festivities.
