Jamshedpur, April 10: The 6th Prof. P. Ramachandra Rao Memorial Lecture will be held at CSIR-NML under the banner of N. P. Gandhi Memorial metallurgical Trust IIT (BHU), Jharkhand State chapter of The National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI) and CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory on Tuesday, April 11 from 4.30 pm.
The event will be held at the Lecture Hall, CSIR National Metallurgical Laboratory, Jamshedpur. The key note speaker for the occasion will be Prof. S. N. Ojha, Department of Metallurgy, IIT (BHU), Varanasi.
Title of the lecture is ‘Historical Development of Metals and Materials and their Role in Growth of Human Civilization’. Late Prof. P. Ramachandra Rao, a renowned Material Scientist was a former Director of CSIR-NML, Jamshedpur, Vice Chancellor Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and first vice chancellor of Defense Institute of Advanced Technology, Pune (deemed university of DRDO).
