Seraikela: Seraikela-Kharsawan police confiscated 51 kilogram ganja (cannabis) from a house in Rajar village under Rajnagar police station area on Sunday. The owner of the house, identified as Nehru Kumbhkar, escaped from the scene.
SP Chandan Kumar Sinha said police had got a tip-off about the accused trader stocking a huge amount of ganja in his house. A team was set up to raid the house. Cops found 23 packets of ganja and two kg ganja kept for retail sale. The total worth of the ganja is Rs 2.30 lakh, said the SP.
Sinha said the police team which seized the ganja would be rewarded. Raids are on to nab the accused trader, he said.
